Rain-X Blades – Windshield Scratch Repair Review

First, allow me to state that I am an engineer in addition to a big DIY-er. Considering we invested under $10 and were going to get rid of the car in a few months anyway, it saved lots of money. I was completely unsuccessful. They’re great for the ultimate wipe-down after the other cleaners, however. My faith in mankind has returned, that yes! It is magic. Everyone gave it great reviews so I figured with 36 in the pack, I’m able to split it with my sister. I had been shocked and was able to do all eight or so chips in under 40 minutes. (It certainly is not to do with my insurance company wanting me to get full glass and the fix company wanting to just substitute the whole windshield). I am pleased with my buy.

I deducted two stars as this product is made in China, whereas other Bosch windshield wiper goods are produced in Germany or Belgium. Incredible glue. I wasn’t likely to purchase a car windscreen replacement on a lease. The product includes a really small orifice through which to exert its compressive power. I’m extremely pleased with the outcomes. It was a poor buy and would stay away from Bosch blades.

No distinction before and after.

I used a few more drops of resin than required, however when I was done I remarked that I didn’t need to.

However, my primary application is automotive detailing and these are just too small , thin for use on vehicles.

I looked everywhere once I bought my 2008 Sebring convertible for that wiper blades that came on it.

It would’ve worked if it was able to push the resin in. The 3/4 inch crack in my windshield is barely visible now because of this kit. It’s a tool-less install which means you just push off the old and pull on the new. I had a very difficult time finding moist swiffer cloths to fit the extra large one I got myself from amazon.

I took time (probably a good half an hour) to use the liquid and, after I went to place the car under the sun to cure, I’d thought that I had filled the crack completely. A little expensive, but worthwhile. (Wal-Mart also has a type of Bosch bracketless wipers which are produced in China, but that does not shock me since it is Wal-Mart). “Unrepaired locations can look as dark (green or black) locations.” Second, the character of windshield cracks: When a stone hits a windshield it flexes the glass enough that inner fracturing happens.

I got myself the 36 pack of Zwipes because I was going through more than a roll of paper towels each day (yes, each day) tending the spills and thrills of windshield scratch repair. I took a chance and so far they work fine for bumper scuff repair.
